Executive Thought Leadership

Strategic activation of key people in leadership, on behalf of the business.

Many leaders have insights and perspectives the market needs to hear. But they don't have the time, the words, or the structure to articulate them. And it rarely stops at writing a good article. It also has to reach the right people, and in 2026 that means AI models need to be able to cite it.

Executive Thought Leadership combines my strategic framing with dedicated resources for recording, distribution, and optimization. The content is written by me, based on monthly interviews with you as a leader or selected subject matter experts.

    IN SHORT

Executive Thought Leadership is the strategic activation of leaders and subject matter experts as visible voices in their category. The service includes monthly interviews, op-eds or blog articles published in the leader's name, weekly LinkedIn posts and video content. From NOK 25,000 per month.

When Does Executive Thought Leadership Add the Most Value?

Not every leader needs to be a thought leader. But certain situations make it the obvious right choice:

    • When you have real expertise and position, but the market doesn't know it well enough.
    • When you're entering a new growth phase and need to be perceived as a category leader, not just a vendor.
    • When your buyers research in ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, and you want to be cited when the category is discussed.
    • When you've thought a lot about the industry, but it lives scattered in the heads of people in leadership.
    • When you're hiring or selling to larger customers, and the leader's authority in the market can be the difference.

    How We Build Thought Leadership

    Monthly interview in Riverside

We start each month with a 60–90 minute interview, recorded in Riverside with high audio and video quality. This is where your real insight and your perspective come out. I prepare angles and questions based on what's moving the category right now, and what AI models are citing.

    Written content in your name

Based on the interview, I write one sharp op-ed or article per month, published in your name or a colleague's. The content is structured to be citable — for human readers and for the AI models that will become increasingly important sources for B2B buyers. You also get four LinkedIn posts per month, built on the same thinking. They're not random standalone posts, but a coherent narrative that strengthens your position over time.

Video content from the same interview

The Riverside recording provides not only raw material for writing. Two to four video reels and clips are edited for LinkedIn distribution, so the same insight reaches both readers and those who prefer video. You get more visibility without extra workload.

    Distribution and pitching

Articles are pitched via email to relevant publications and trade media. Placement cannot be guaranteed, but I work systematically to open these channels.

    AI visibility that's measured

Periscopify license is included. That means we can quarterly see how your visibility and citation frequency develop in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. You get measurable progress over time, not just engagement numbers from LinkedIn.

Why This Is Infrastructure for Visibility, Not Just Content

Thought leadership is one of the most effective drivers of AI visibility. AI models don't cite sales-oriented prose or generic content. They cite original perspective, clear definitions, factual statements, and firsthand experience.

That's exactly what this service produces.

When content is framed and structured correctly, it becomes the kind of content AI models cite when answering questions about your category. That's the difference between writing content that's read and writing content that's cited.

Prerequisites for the Service to Work

    The leader's time and engagement

The monthly interview is the critical resource. Without your real perspective, the content becomes generic. 60–90 minutes in the calendar each month is the minimum.

    Clear positioning

Thought leadership reinforces what the company already stands for, but it doesn't create position from nothing. If positioning is unclear, I'd recommend starting with CMO Advisory or Fractional CMO first.

    Willingness to commit long-term

Thought leadership delivers results over quarters and years, not weeks. The 6-month commitment reflects this.

    Investment

    From NOK 35,000 per month.

Larger scope (more articles, multiple leaders as thought leaders, more active pitching) priced on demand and set after an initial conversation. 6-month commitment, then ongoing with 3 months notice.

    Add-on: LinkedIn Thought Leadership Ads

NOK 5,000 per month additional, ad spend excluded.

Amplifies thought leadership content through paid distribution on LinkedIn. Includes campaign setup, audience development, monthly optimization, and reporting. Ad costs (media buying) invoiced separately or directly to LinkedIn from you.

    What I Don't Promise

Media placement is pursued via email pitching, but cannot be guaranteed. It depends on editorial decisions I don't control.

Viral effect I don't promise. We build systematic authority, not viral moments.

Personal PR work (media strategy, crisis preparedness, reputation management) is outside this service.

This separates the work from vendors who promise more than they can deliver.

    This Fits

Leaders and companies that want to build credible authority in the market over time.

Companies with clear positioning and real expertise that isn't visible enough.

Industries where buying decisions are influenced by category authority — like B2B SaaS, professional services, B2B industry, finance, and tech.

    This Doesn't Fit

Leaders who won't spend 60–90 minutes monthly on an interview.

    Companies expecting fast viral effect.

Companies without positioning to build on.

Personal brand projects disconnected from business strategy.

    Fractional CMO

A limited version of thought leadership (1 article + 4 LinkedIn posts) is included as a standard part of the Fractional CMO role. If you want the extended delivery — with interview, video reels, and full distribution — Executive Thought Leadership can be purchased as an add-on to Fractional CMO.

    AI Visibility

Thought leadership is the content driver that makes GEO possible. Many GEO recommendations are about producing citable content with original perspective. That's exactly what Executive Thought Leadership delivers. The combination is strong for companies that want to own AI visibility in their category.
